Monroe Wisconsin's Quilt Guild
Everyone is Welcome!
We meet each 4th Monday at 6:30 pm
Union Presbyterian Church

Monroe, Wisconsin
The Courthaus Quilt Guild offers inspiration by quilters of all experience levels. Being a member of our guild allows you to be involved in a group with interests the same as yours while encouraging you to try new techniques and projects.
Our monthly meetings offer programs from local quilters and quilt professionals that present projects and teach interesting lessons and offer unique quilt products, and give quilt related presentations that will inspire you.
The Show and Tell portion of our meetings are most popular, when guild members show projects that they've finished. Always amazing!
Guild members participate in projects that serve our local community, working on them both annually and throughout the year.
Annually, we collect items to fill "shoeboxes" that contain children's books, stuffed toys, and a small quilt that are given to local emergency service groups to share with children in traumatic situations.
Quilts made by guild members are kept and given to local folks when they experience a traumatic event such as a house fire, an accident, or the loss of a family member. Our hope is to provide comfort and share with the recipient that there are people in their community that care for them. We've given presentations at local libraries and community events. Often local care facilities will have a specific request of us and we make quilted items that are helpful to them. We have made and given items to St Clare Friedensheim Home, Pleasant View Nursing Home, SSM Monroe Hospice Home, and many others.
Using 6 small fabric circles folded into quarters, we sewed the edges together, pulled it tight, and made the cutest flower! We had so much fun we didn't take any photos! Some flowers were made as pins and other cute accessories, and sticks and leaves were added to others for use in vases. Here is mine, pinned to my purse. So very cute, and simple!
